Nima is a co-founder and CEO at Centurion One Capital, with over 10 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, and directorship. Formerly a director at a leading independent investment bank, overseeing institutional equity sales, capital markets, advisory, restructuring, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions across North America. Nima's wealth management background includes various managerial roles, and his transactions have exceeded $10 billion.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Western University, a Bacher of Laws (Hons.) from the University of Sheffield, a Master of Laws in International Business Law from King's College London, University of London (Dr. Peter Dyne Scholar) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Corporate Finance) from the University of Law (UK). Nima is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and completed various courses through the Canadian Securities Institute. In 2020, he was nominated for the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) Top 40 Under 40 Award for his contributions to the financial industry.
Kia Besharat, Founder and Executive Chairman of Centurion One Capital, is redefining investment banking. His mission is to empower visionary entrepreneurs to tackle tomorrow's challenges with transformative capital, expertise, and global connections. Guided by values of respect, integrity, commitment, and excellence, Centurion One Capital supports growth companies in North America with a superior approach to merchant banking through aligned incentives and partnerships.
With over 17 years of experience, Kia has led transactions worth over $50 billion, establishing his reputation in the industry. His roles at top global merchant and investment banks sharpened his ability to identify and amplify potential in companies valued at $5 billion and under. Through personal investments and strategic guidance, he has fostered the growth of numerous enterprises, turning bold ideas into market realities. Kia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Management from McGill University as well as a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from the University of Edinburgh. He was also one of Canada’s top tennis players, having competed as a professional in tournaments around the world and at the NCAA Division 1 level. In 2018, Kia was recognized by the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) as a Top 40 Under 40 award nominee.
Mr. Yeung is the Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking, and Co-Founder of Centurion One Capital, an independent investment banking firm supporting growth companies in North America. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Investment Banking at a leading firm, where he led a team in capital markets, advisory, restructuring, corporate finance, and M&A. He also worked at BMO Capital Markets, specializing in transactions in metals, mining, and technology, with over $2 billion in closed value. Apart from his professional work, Mr. Yeung is committed to mentoring future financial leaders and serves on the Executive Team for YCIF's Vancouver Chapter, founded by Paul Desmarais III in 2006. He was nominated for the IIAC Top 40 Under 40 Award for his contributions to the financial industry. Mr. Yeung holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Shamira is an experienced operations and event management professional with over six years of delivering high-impact results in corporate environments. As a former Operations Manager at a leading independent investment bank, she oversaw daily operations and played a key role in executing large-scale conferences across North America.
She also brings valuable leadership experience from a global international hotel chain, where she managed end-to-end event planning, including logistics, budgeting, and client coordination, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality events.
She is a graduate of the Carlow Institute in Ireland with a specialization in events management and is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to execute complex projects with precision.
