Ideal Candidate:

Centurion One Capital is looking for a bright, motivated individual with an interest in finance and the capital markets. The successful candidate must be interested in a career in the investment banking industry. The Investment Banking Analyst will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry leaders. The team is looking for a self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and as a part of a team in our brand new downtown Vancouver office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth due diligence, and market, industry, and company research
• Build comprehensive and complex financial valuation models, including analyses using discounted cash flows, comparable companies, and precedent transactions
• Prepare company, industry, and market briefing documents
• Assist with preparation of engagement letters, agency agreements and other documentation associated with live transactions
• Assist in the preparation of pitch books and presentations
• Apply knowledge of accounting principles to inform financial analysis, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Use and create macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to increase efficiency when working with Excel and PowerPoint
• Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks
• Liase and Assist with Centurion’s VP of Operations and Events to conduct and put on Centurion One Capital’s annual conferences and summits throughout the year

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Finance or a related discipline at a leading academic institution; enrollment in the CFA program is considered an asset
• Strong academic achievement
• Knowledge of investment banking processes and related industry practices an asset
• Must be able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a positive, professional attitude 
• Must be able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision
• Should be highly motivated, independent but able to work within a team in an environment that is fast paced and rapidly changing
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and quality of work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
